  Parent Involvement Opportunities
Parent involvement in a child's education is a crucial factor in finding success at school. There are many ways to be involved in your child's education. Parents are encouraged to communicate with the school. Attend parent teacher conferences, call school or send a note when you have a comment or question. Serve on district wide or specific school committees that work on programs, experiences, and events to strengthen the schools.

Parents can work with their child to improve their educational experience by reading together, checking over homework, engaging in enrichment activities. Parents are encouraged to attend school events, activities, and celebrations. Children know how parents value school when their parent is willing to spend time to come and watch the music program or participate in a family learning night.

Parents can volunteer at school or from home. MRH has a parent involvement pledge that lists 37 different opportunities for parent volunteers. One of the simplest strategies of parent involvement is also one of the most effective. Encouraging and expecting perfect attendance is an important influence that parents can make on their child's education experience.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the Parent Involvement Pledge and return to JoAnn Ford at 7539 Manchester Road, Maplewood, MO 63143.

Parent Organizations
All MRH schools have a parent organization. The Parent Teach Organization (PTO) works to support staff and students in their respective schools by organizing volunteers, hosting special events, coordinating fundraisers, and much more. Parents are encouraged to join the organization at their child's school. To receive additional information regarding PTO, please contact school principals.
