At the Missouri Track and Field Championship in Jefferson City today, the MRH boys track team took a solid lead to claim the Class 2 state title. Congratulations to the team and coaches for a very successful season!

The 10-member team of Bryant Allen, Nick Coulter, Timotheus Hicks, Derrick Johnson, Robert Kamkwalala, Devin Lindsey, Eric Liska, Fred Taylor, Cedric Thompson and Jerome Wooten earned seven first places (100m, 200m, 400m 300 hurdles, 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400), including three state records – Taylor’s 200m (21.87 seconds), Allen's 300 hurdles (38.23), and Allen, Couter, Johnson and Taylor’s 4x100 (42.72). In addition, the team's 85 points is a new state record for the amount of points ever earned by a Class 2 team at the state meet.
