Preschool and Kindergarten Registration to Take Place June 24

Parents and guardians of youngsters in the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District should mark their calendars for the upcoming preschool and kindergarten registration event at the Early Childhood Center. On Wednesday, June 24, families can take advantage of the “one-stop registration” event being offered.

From 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Early Childhood Center (2801 Oakland in Maplewood), staff will be on hand to answer questions, provide the necessary application materials, and administer a literacy inventory (which is not necessary for any child currently enrolled in the MRH Preschool). In addition, a school notary will be on hand to review and notarize your application.

In addition to bringing your child for the literacy inventory, families are expected to bring the following:

Birth certificate*
Social Security Card or number
Up-to-date Immunization Record
Occupancy Permit (with both parent/guardian’s name and child’s name)
Parent/guardian driver’s license or MO State ID

*Date must show turning age 5 by July 31 of the given school year. Children with birthdates of August 1 or after must wait until the following school year. No exceptions.

The following items would be very helpful to have on hand, but if you don’t have them by June 24, you will still need to submit them to the school by August 17:

Current physical
Eye exam

Families who can’t make the June 24 registration event can register at the MRH Central Office; please set up an appointment with Kat Norton at 644-4400.

For more information, contact Molly Sauer at (314) 644-4405.
