Board of Education Filing Opens December 18
Pursuant to Missouri statutory requirements this is to notify the public that anyone interested and qualified to file for the office of Director, Board of Education, Maplewood Richmond Heights School District, shall file not sooner than Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. nor later than Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Three seats, each carrying three-year terms are up for election. This election will be held on April 8, 2008. An applicant must file his / her candidacy at the office of the Board of Education, 7539 Manchester Road, Maplewood, Missouri 63143.
Notice is hereby given that the Maplewood Richmond Heights Board of Education in accordance with policy BBB, School Board Elections, that the doors of Central Office will open at 7:30 am on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Interested candidates should sign their name and time of arrival to determine the order of filing. Qualified applicants for the Board may file a declaration of candidacy in the superintendent’s office commencing at 8:00 a.m. on December 18, 2007.
Administrative office will be closed December 24, 25, 31, 2007 and January 1 and 21, 2008. The office will remain open from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm each working day.
Candidates should provide a biographical statement of no more than 200 words and a recent photograph, which will be used for media releases and MRH publications. Names will appear on the ballot in chronological order of filing. For more information, please call Cathy Thorp at (314) 644-4400.
