MRH Elementary Administrative Team Named for 07-08
The MRH Board of Education has officially approved the MRH Elementary administrative team for the 2007-2008 school year.
Kathy Stroud, who is currently serving as the school's assistant principal, will become principal of MRH Elementary effective July 1. Stroud has served as the school's assistant principal for one year, and prior to that served as an assistant principal in the Parkway School District for five years. Her previous experience includes serving as an elementary school counselor and special education teacher in Parkway.
Stroud is currently pursuing a doctorate in education at Maryville University. She has a master's of education in counseling and a bachelor's of science in special education from UM-St. Louis. She has completed the educational administration certification program and the special reading certification program at UM-St. Louis. Stroud is replacing Vicki Hardy, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
Jennifer Collins, who currently serves as the gifted education teacher at MRH Elementary, will become the school's assistant principal. Prior to coming to MRH this year, Collins served as an elementary instructional resource teacher, a first grade teacher and an administrative intern in the Olathe Unified School District 233 in Olathe, Kansas.
Collins
has a master's of science in educational administration from the University of Kansas and a bachelor's of science in education from the University of Missouri. She is a national board certified teacher.
