Lawler is currently serving as an assistant principal at Ritenour Middle School in the Ritenour School District and previous to that served in the same position at Hoech Middle School in Ritenour. He has also served as the assistant director of the Ritenour Middle Level Summer Academy and as a social studies and communication arts teacher at Hoech Middle School.

Lawler has a master’s of arts in education degree from Maryville University and a bachelor’s of science degree in secondary education from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He holds a middle school certificate from Maryville University.

He is replacing Denean Vaughn, who is leaving MRH Middle to pursue other opportunities.
