Students to Raise Funds and Awareness through Tent City

MRH High students will take part in the second annual "Tent City" event from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, at MRH High's Sunnen Athletic Field.

At the event, student council members will live in tents outdoors, with little food or water, in a symbolic act to raise awareness of poverty in their community and nation. The public is invited to visit Tent City any time during the 12-hour event to support this cause.

As part of the event, student coordinators will accept donations of money, canned goods and new or gently worn clothing. Donations will benefit Joe's Place, America's Second Harvest and The Salvation Army.
