The Maplewood Richmond Heights School District is organized and governed pursuant to Chapter 162 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended. MRH is governed by a seven-member Board of Education. The voters of the district elect the directors of the Board for three-year staggered terms, with two directors being elected in two successive years and three directors being elected every three years. All directors are elected at-large and serve without compensation. The board of education is responsible for all policy decisions. The president of the board is elected by the board from among it members for a term of one year and has no regular administrative duties.

Maria Langston began her first term on the Board of Education in April 2008 with years of experience working on behalf of the MRH School District. She served as president of the Early Childhood Center PTO for three years, and has served as parent representative on the Teaching and Learning Council, the Academic Calendar Committee and in the Comprehensive School Improvement Program planning process. She and her husband, Mark, are the parents of two MRH students. Together, they were named the district’s "Family of the Year" in 2007. Maria is employed as development director with the Children’s Miracle Network. |

Lamar Agard graduated from Maplewood Richmond Heights High School in 1990 and currently has two sons and two nephews in the district. His Mother, Connie Agard, taught English in the district for 15 years. Lamar holds a B.S. in accounting from Saint Louis University and an Executive MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Lamar is employed by Solutia Inc, as Director of Risk Management. He is a member of the Charmaine Chapman Society of the United Way. |

Nelson Mitten, a resident of Richmond Heights for over 21 years, is married to Gina and has two children, Travis and Natalie. Travis is an MRH graduate who is currently attending college and Natalie is attending MRH Middle School. Gina serves on the Richmond Heights City Council. Nelson is an attorney with Riezman Berger, PC. A member of the Board of Education since 1998, Nelson was president from 1999 to 2001 and from 2007 to 2008. Nelson served on the Executive Committee of the Cooperating School Districts from 2001 to 2004. |

Brooke Rintoul lives in Richmond Heights with her husband, Jim, and their two daughters, Mia and Annalee. Brooke’s term on the board began in August, 2009. She has been active in a number of projects on behalf of the district. Brooke attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and Saint Louis University. She has a B.S. in psychology and is certified as a teacher in special education. She has worked with children as a teacher, learning consultant, and/or tutor for the past 12 years. |

Steve has a Bachelors degree in philosophy from Rice University as well as a Masters degree and Doctorate in philosophy from Boston College. Ralph E. Posley has been a resident of Richmond Heights for 25 years. He has been married to his wife, Addie, for 29 years. They have seven children, three of whom attend the MRH Early Childhood Center. One of their three grandchildren, Lily, is enrolled in the Head Start Program at ECC. Ralph has been employed for seven years with Covidian Healthcare Pharmaceuticals as a lab assistant and dispatcher. He is also Pastor of the Word of God Christian Church in Richmond Heights. He was awarded the 2008 Citizen of the Year Award by Unity Pact. |

Ben Stotler is a lifelong resident of Richmond Heights and an MRH graduate. He has been involved in many MRH initiatives, including as treasurer of three bond campaigns, as a member of the PACT II planning committee, and on the "Join the Race" committee that raised funds for the High School athletic complex. He is married to MRH alum Courtney (Harsh) Stotler and has a newborn son and an 11-year-old stepdaughter, who is at MRH Elementary. Ben was a member of Boy Scout Troop 362 for many years. He is the Chief Operations Officer with Carrollton Bank and formerly worked at Pioneer Bank in Maplewood for 11 years. |
